Bringing a product to market

Bringing a product to market is a process of turning an idea into a sellable, successful product through steps like ideation, market research, product development, and launch planning. This journey is long and requires alot of work .
When people see a finished candle, wax melt, or diffuser, they see the beauty, the scent, the packaging — the end result. What they don’t always see is everything that happens before that product reaches their hands.
As a one-person business, I wear all the hats:
Creator – blending fragrances, testing formulas, pouring wax.
Designer – choosing packaging, designing labels, styling products.
Marketer – writing posts, taking photos, updating the website.
Administrator – managing orders, stock levels, emails, and invoices.
Customer service – answering questions, handling queries, and staying connected with customers.
Each product is more than just wax and fragrance — it’s hours of creativity, research, testing, compliance checks, sourcing, and handcrafting. Add on packaging, photography, marketing, and shipping, and you start to see the full picture.
And yet… I wouldn’t change it. Every product carries my heart and passion. When a customer lights a candle or unwraps a wax melt and feels joy, calm, or comfort, it makes every late night and long to-do list worth it.
So the next time you shop small or support a handmade business, know that you’re not just buying a product. You’re supporting someone’s dream, hard work, and dedication — every single step of the way.
